Better recordings without a massive studio
You're already making music at home, but the finished result isn't matching what you hear in your head. Let's identify what's holding it back and make it sound properly finished.
You don't have to begin again or buy expensive equipment. Send me your track, project or stems and we'll work out what is already strong, what needs attention and the most useful next step. That might mean improving a recording, tightening an arrangement, adding production or rebuilding the mix.
Sometimes all that survives is an old stereo recording, with the vocals, guitars and other instruments already mixed together. I can use modern audio-separation tools to split that recording into individual parts, isolate elements such as the vocal and guitar, clean them up and improve their sound. We can then add newly recorded instruments, reshape the arrangement and produce a fresh version around the original performance. Think of the creative principle behind restoring John Lennon's old demo tapes for the later Beatles releases: preserving the irreplaceable performance while giving it a new musical setting.
This can be practical one-to-one guidance, hands-on production and editing, a professional mix, or a combination of all three. The aim is not to make your music sound generic—it is to help your version of the song sound clearer, more confident and more complete.
How it works
Share a rough mix and tell me what isn't working or what you want the track to sound like.
I'll listen, explain where the biggest improvements are and suggest a focused way forward.
We'll improve the production and recording, or I can mix the track and help you reach the final result.
Send me a little information about your setup and the track you're working on. Tell me what feels wrong and what ‘better’ means to you.
