The Red Room is about making music without needing a huge studio or a huge budget.
I help songwriters and musicians develop songs, record guitars, bass and vocals, create convincing drum arrangements, produce and mix tracks, and understand how the whole process works.
Whether you're starting your first recording or you're halfway through an album and stuck, we'll work with what you've got and help you move forward.

I'm Michael Gordon — MG — and songwriting is at the heart of what I do. I can help turn the beginnings of an idea into a memorable song, with strong hooks, an effective structure and the kind of melody people want to hear again.
Once the song is working, the sound I chase is bold, detailed and full of energy, especially when it calls for a proper rock production. I believe the result matters far more than the size or price of the studio, so The Red Room is built around strong performances, carefully chosen equipment and thoughtful production decisions.
The songs in my Spotify collection were written by me as well as recorded and produced in The Red Room. They're the best way to hear both sides of what I can bring to your music: the song itself and the finished production. This space can also grow to feature work created with other artists.
